Semester 1 Home Project Progress Post

For my home project, I am experimenting with a new medium of collage/photography. I want to focus on the idea of leaving traces, so I am going to be taking long exposure photos to show this. I haven't gotten to taking these photos because of the bad weather of the past few weeks, but I have practiced indoors with how to get the look I want. I have also taken some photos that I am going to layer on top of my main one, and I have experimented with the method that I am going to use to transfer them onto another piece of paper. The process also relates to leaving traces because it involves gluing a printed piece of paper upside down onto the main piece of paper and then rubbing away the printer paper so that only the trace of the image remains. Here is what it looks like.

The image is lighter than I want, but I think rubbing off more of the paper or putting a varnish on it will help bring out the darker colors I want.
