Project 8 - Process Post 2

I still have some work to do on creating the understructure of my current piece, but I've started to crochet the parts that will be the actually visible parts to get a sense for what it will look like. After a while, I realized that I probably should have used a thicker string/had bigger spacing between the stitches since this process is taking so much longer than it normally does, but at this point, I've done too much to go back on it. I think that I'll add more spacing for other components of the project though. Currently, I am trying to decide whether or not I should add more solid elements to the sculpture like I normally do with the paper mache. If I end up doing this, I think that I might make them out of fabric so that I can stick with the textile quality of the sculpture. I would probably just cut out strips or shapes (like circles) of fabric and then use them like pieces of paper for paper mache.
