This week I started out with attempting to attach some fabric to the walls and ceiling of the room I'm using into the shape of a wave. I did this by poking a hole into the fabric and then sticking a screw through that and screwing it into the wall. I didn't plan what I was doing very much so because of that it doesn't look amazing. The main problem I realized from just hanging it onto the wall is that it is very difficult to get the shape I want just with the fabric. I have started collecting big cardboard boxes and I think that those will be just structural enough to hold the shape I want but also be something that I can bend and glue things on top. I have also been experimenting with different textures that I can use for fabrics in the waves. I learned to crochet a grid like pattern, but am also thinking about tying knots between strings (probably thicker than the ones I used) to make a similar pattern that takes less time.
