Figure Drawing Reflection

This year, when working on figure drawing, I have been able to put more movement into my figure drawings. One thing that really helped me with this was finding not just a line that encapsulated the movement, but also making that line darker or giving it more weight to make it more prevalent. I think that I have gotten better with using searching lines than I have been in the past, but I still sometimes end up drawing shapes rather than forms. I also want to work on exaggerating the movement in my drawings even more because I think that helped me improve a lot. I also started using conte instead of charcoal which I really liked. I was able to easily hold the conte in a way that forced me to use my entire arm to draw and it was also really easy to control the thickness of my lines be changing whether I was drawing with the tip or the sides of the conte crayon. I used this ability to start my searching lines as more broad and wide and then I went back in with more thin lines to define the figure a little more.
